LOCATION
Trebujena is a town of just over 7000 inhabitants, with an area of 67.4 km2 located in the northwestern part of the province of Cádiz.
TERROIR
The geographical configuration of Trebujena involves, on the one hand, the typical hills or hills of Tierras de Albarizas bathed in vineyards that cross this environment in a considerable extension and, on the other hand, the lands of marshes that border Trebujena at its extreme north and northwest.
The passage of the Guadalquivir river through the municipal term constitutes a natural division to the northwest of the province of Cádiz with those of Seville and Huelva.
OWNERSHIP
The Cooperativa Vitivinícola Albarizas de Trebujena S.C.A. It currently has 202 partners and an extension of vineyards of 265 hectares distributed among 346 registered vineyards.
PRODUCTION
It grinds an average of 3,000,000 kg of grapes per season, which is about 4,200 barrels of must. It has the capacity to grind about 4,000,000 kg of grapes per season, which would mean about 3,015,000 liters of must (6030 boots).
ORIGIN
The Elaboration Winery was built in 1977, the year of its foundation. In the year 2000, the construction of the Bodega de Crianza helmet was carried out in an annex building.
ELABORATION
All the passage of the grape and the must in the Elaboration Cellar is by stainless steel (reception hopper (lagareta), devinator, presses). The winery consists of 36 stainless steel tanks of 45,000 liters cooled by cold jacket, and 31 tanks of 45,000 liters in stainless steel for storage.
AGEING
La Bodega de Crianza currently has about 250 American oak casks including Fino, Amontillado and Oloroso wines. For the production of these wines, since 2000, the best flower musts of the season have been used. Aging Winery that is characterized by constant temperature and humidity climatic conditions at any time of the year, characteristics that give our wines their own nuances provided by aging in this Winery.
BRANDS
The brands of the wines are Terralba; white wine made from 100% palomino grape, Bijuré; white wine fermented in casks from vidueño (a mixture of varieties), and Castillo de Guzmán for the wines generous.
PRESENT
In 2018, with the harvest on the doorstep, we are still as excited as in 1977 to work for and for our partners, for and for wine, for and for Trebujena to have its place on the Spanish wine map. Eager to produce new vintages of our still white wines (Terralba and Bijuré), and continue to bring our Generous Wines (Castillo de Guzmán) to the street, surprising everyone who has had a glass.
